Finding Slow Lane
The traditional “hutong” neighbourhoods of Beijing feature narrow, usually one-way alleyways that are hard to navigate in a car and even harder to find parking in. We encourage customers to cycle, or take public transportation to the closest subway station and then walk through the hutongs to Slow Lane. Use Beijing subway line 5 and get off at the Dengshikou station. Emerge at Exit C and you will find yourself on Ganmian Hutong. Walk eastbound down the hutong and make a left, head north and at the next corner make a right. You will be on Shijia Hutong. Walk eastbound down the hutong for about 400 metres until you reach Slow Lane at No.13.
The shop is two hundred meters from Lu Mi Cang (禄米仓) bus stop on Chaoyangmen Nan Xiao Jie (朝阳门南小街). Walk southward until you see the sign of Shijia Hutong before turning right. Slow Lane is located 50 meters from the east end of Shijia Hutong.
For GPS route guidance, please insert 13 Shijia Hutong, Dongcheng, Beijing.
Driving Tip: If you do come by car, remember Shijia Hutong is one-way eastbound. You have to enter the hutong off Dongdan Bei Xiao Jie, a few hundred metres north of the fashionable Jinbao Jie shopping street. However, better than entering the hutong, look for a place to park on the street on Chaoyangmen Nan Xiao Jie and then walk from there. There are parking attendants who will charge you 10 yuan per hour and one can normally find spot on the street within a few hundred metres of the eastern entrance of Shijia Hutong.
